Do you have a McDreamMe list?

I make New Year’s Resolutions at least twice a year.  Once on my birthday in December, and once with everyone else.  You see, I’m big on second chances, benefit of the doubt, try and try again and so no. Just ask my kids how many times they’ve ducked being grounded.
This year I’m upping the resolution making to three times: today, on my birthday, and on January 1st.

Football: team tango

I watched my son at a few of his football training sessions.  I watched as the coach took them through the skills, of moving the ball smoothly down the field in a carefully timed sequences.  I watched week after week as this group of kids went from a mob chasing a ball, blindly running to converge on whoever happened to have the ball, to a team where each player kept and played his position, ball possession no longer the overriding objective.

Use the best china

In the morning rush to get out the door on time with two young children and facing a potential traffic problem on Sheikh Zayed Road, I still get through a decent breakfast, but rarely indulge in a leisurely coffee at home.
That all changed this past week.
