On the first day of the Abu Dhabi Formula 1, the super-talented Beyonce lit up Yas Island in front of thousands of deliriously sweaty fans. No more than 15 metres from the stage, I was standing in the throng, defending a few centimetres of space, and holding on to high expectations. She met them. Effortlessly, and with great gusto.
